| Moloney + O’Neill and Ronald McDonald House Charities are proud to present the Corporate Challenge Relay. Four-person teams compete for corporate bragging rights running the Centennial Trail from Post Falls to Riverfront Park while generating funds for an awesome Spokane charity. All teams race in a single class by virtue of age and gender adjustments. Prizes, including a traveling trophy for first place, are awarded to the top three teams. But the real challenge is not for the top slots, but the ability to challenge another organization head-to-head for a year’s worth of bragging rights. The Marathon’s Facebook page will be the official forum for trash-talk. $200 of every $500 entry fee goes to Ronald McDonald House Charities. We encourage teams to go over-and-above the $200 level to support the house or other charities of their choice. Other whacky wagers may be made as well. For 2012, we will limit the field to 60 teams. Teams entered this year will have first option for entries in 2012. A team entering with a direct challenge to another organization will reserve a spot for two weeks for the challenged team to respond. The relay legs vary from 6.0 to 7.3 miles and will be chip timed. Details of the legs and are the same as the Friends and Family Relay. Bus transportation will be available to and from the relay exchange points. |
